Electrostatic spray guns deliver numerous benefits to commercial painters that simply can’t be overlooked. Here are four reasons to use electrostatic paint spray guns:

Electrostatic guns are more efficient. When the paint particles are charged, the paint wants to adhere to the surface you’re painting. Particles in fact will even change directions to adhere so there’s a wrap-around affect. This means that (depending on what you’re painting) 50 – 98 percent of the paint will be used for its intended purpose – to coat the object you’re painting. There’s less waste!

Electrostatic spray guns save you money. While there’s a larger upfront investment with an electrostatic gun the efficiency gains make using one much more cost-effective. With more paint being used and less waste, paint and materials costs decrease significantly. With more paint adhering to the surface, there’s less cleanup needed – for both the equipment and the environment in which you’re painting.

Electrostatic guns deliver a better quality paint job. Because of the wrapping nature of the charged paint particles, electrostatic spray guns are ideal for painting rounded objects such as poles, fences, carvings or engraved surfaces, and porous materials.

Electrostatic spray guns are better for the environment. The charged paint particles want to adhere to the surface you’re painting, so less paint is injected into the environment in the form of over-spray. That 50 – 98 percent efficiency we eluded to in point number one above means that there are less particulates released into the air – which is not only environmentally friendlier than traditional paint spray guns, but healthier for the operator to use.
